Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy 

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy which is used to explore your experience, thoughts and behaviours associated with emotional distress. The aim of CBT is to empower and equip you with coping strategies designed to reduce emotional distress and promote your desired outcomes and help you make behavioural changes. 

CBT has been recommended as the treatment of choice for a range of difficulties including; anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, phobias and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

 

Additional information 

Duration: Typically, CBT appointments will last 50 minutes, however in some cases an extended session may be required. This would be discussed and agreed in advance.

 

 

 

Clinical hypnosis 

mind coaching (NLP)

 

 

Clinical hypnosis and mind coaching is a form of talking therapy, which makes use of the mind-body link, polyvagal therapy and neuroscience to help you identify and resolve any barriers to change. During clinical hypnosis and mind coaching, both traditional hypnotherapy techniques and mind coaching tools such as neurolinguistic programming (NLP) are used to help you make and then solidify the changes you desire.

 

Clinical hypnosis and mind coaching can be helpful for improving and managing a variety of difficulties or problem areas including; managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, improving confidence, managing the impact of health conditions, pain management, phobias, and changing unwanted habits associated with weight management or smoking cessation. 

 

During each clinical hypnosis sessions, you will be sat in a chair with your head supported by the backrest. However, if you would prefer to lay down on a massage couch this can be arranged.

Reiki 
 

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century as an alternative therapy for treating physical and mental health difficulties.  

 

Nowadays, Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy to relieve stress, promote relaxation and enhance mental and emotional wellbeing. Reiki is also sometimes used as a supportive therapy for health conditions including: long term health conditions, chronic health conditions and palliative health conditions. 

 

Reiki healing can be completed using either a ‘hands on‘ or a ‘hands off’ technique. During which the therapist places their hands either a few inches above the parts of the body that is receiving reiki, or a few inches above that area. 

 

During each reiki sessions, you will be sat in a chair with your head supported by the back rest. However, if you would prefer to lay down on a massage couch this can be arranged. 

 

Recommendations: To maximise the benefits of a reiki treatment session, drinking plenty of water and avoiding any stimulants is recommended.

Hypno-reiki 

 

Designed to help you maximise the benefits of a reiki healing treatment session, hypno-reiki combines the hypnosis part of hypnotherapy with a reiki healing treatment session.

 

Hypno-reiki can often promote a deep sense of relaxation which can be helpful for the body’s autonomic nervous system. Therefore, this treatment can be particularly helpful for those who experience stress, anxiety, health conditions associated with inflammation in the body, long term health conditions and chronic health conditions.

 

During each hypno-reiki sessions, you will be sat in a chair with your head supported by the back rest. However, if you would prefer to lay down on a massage couch this can be arranged. 

 

Recommendations: To maximise the benefits of a hypno-reiki treatment session, drinking plenty of water and avoiding any stimulants is recommended.

Aerial workshops

Mindfulness, Meditation 

Reiki 

Aerial workshops are a group-based complimentary therapy class, which makes use of aromatherapy and yoga silks (a hammock) to help facilitate a sense of relaxation. The feeling of weightlessness as you lie cocooned inside the hammock can promote a sense of tranquility, allowing you to fully let go and experience a sense of inner peace. 

 

A demonstration on how to safely get in and out of the hammock is given, and there is always the option to take part in the class without using a hammock.

Aerial mindfulness, meditation and reiki workshops are a group reiki treatment class.

 

During this workshop you will be guided through mindfulness practices and  meditation which aims to fully relax the mind and body before each person receives 1:1 reiki treatment.

 

 

Duration: Each workshop is 1 hour 15 minutes long.

Hypnotherapy

Aerial hypnotherapy  workshops make use hypnotherapy techniques that will help you reduce barriers to change, empowering you to be able to move towards what you truly desire. 

 

These workshops focus on a different theme each time. 

 

Examples include: 'self love', 'inner strength', letting go' and 'confidence'.

 

 

Duration: Each workshop is 1 hour 15 minutes long. 

 

Hypno-Reiki

Aerial Hypno-reiki workshops are a group based complimentary therapy treatment class. 

 

These workshops make use of hypnosis to guide you into a deep state of relaxation prioir to recieving Reiki healing treatment. 

 

These workshops are particularly helpful for those who struggle with relaxation, and who may therefore feel a complimentary therapy such as reiki is likely to be ineffective. 

 

Duration: Each workshop is 1 hour 15 minutes long.
